There is no real love without respect and trust for the one you claim to love. There will be no broken relationship if each person would learn to respect the other.

Respect those who talk to you in their free time, and never joke with or take for granted those who free their time to talk to you.

Respect people's feelings even if it doesn't mean much to you, cuz it means everything to them. Respect is as important as love in relationship!! Cherish people who find time for you in their busy schedule.

Respect is a very vital thing in a relationship. When you lose respect, you lose the real substance to love. You can only give what you have.

You can certainly respect a person without necessarily loving him or her, even though respect would imply some liking. After all, you can only respect someone with some good qualities that you like and maybe aspire for, never for a trait that you abhor. But love does and can last beyond respect, though it may not be in its happy state.

In fact, without respect from your partner there can be no real love. Respect is what will make him or her give you the space to make important decisions and support you in them, instead of putting you down or ignoring your wishes in areas that are important to you, even if they may not be as important to him or her.

Respect means that you recognize that your partner is a whole person, and not just a way to get something that you want. It means that you know that your partner may have different opinions from you, and it's ok with you.

It's easy to say that you have respect for someone, but acting with respect is a different thing. A disrespectful person is often very controlling and without regards in his or her behavior. During interactions, you may feel your partner will not let you have your way. He/she may have an "It's my way or the highway" mentality, and acts out when things don't go the way he/she wants.

Instead of judging people by their past, stand by them and help them build their future.

Listen with attentiveness, speak with candor, and act with integrity.

Treat everyone with kindness, not because they are kindhearted, but because it's in your personality to be kind.

Don't try to make yourself great by making someone else look small.
